Using the well-designed AeoTec line of products as a test bed, and for some quite
rigorous experimentation, Krill Labs has finally decoded the fundamental foundation
of the Z-Wave protocol and has begun development on several methods of implementation.
We have put together an expansion module for STRMS to take control of all your home
automation needs. And we compiled a simple Windows program with available code to
control Z-Wave devices directly without the internet for developing your own interfaces!

Software:

For the makers out there, we have written a one-of-a-kind small Windows application that gives you full access to your Z-Wave transmitter so you can directly control various supported devices without the use of any cloud based services, it is totally local, and best of all, free in an effort to support continued development! Basically the primary node acts like a serial port when connected to the host, so our app takes advantage of the recently published protocol classes and interprets each packet so coders can learn the significance of each frame.
