Needed to pull this into my home assistant but not only does it not use wi-fi, it didnt have any real bluetooth or interfacing APIs,
so I opened it up and looked for ways to control it remotely.
After finding the solder points for power and the touch ring, I was able to connect it to a smart relay board for remote operation.
It should be noted, to simulate touching the metal ring, you couldnt just short the contact to ground with a long wire,
it messed with the capacitance, so badly infact,
that even the local touch ring itself wouldnt work, so I had to introduce an NPN transister for a much closer relay action.
